Post-Image Player Update
Today, v3.1 of the player has been released with a much-awaited update to the Post-Image functionality. The Post-Image is now passed in as a Flash var.
You will see several minor changes in the download package:
+ addition of an Instructions.txt file
+ CodeGenerator.html which is used to generate your embed code
To set your Post-Image path, just open the CodeGenerator and enter your image URL into the Post-Image URL field. This URL can be absolute (ex: http://www.mywebsite.com/images/myimage.jpg) or relative to the player.swf file (ex: myimage.jpg).
I also improved the way the player loads the image so that you don’t see the resizing if it has to adjust the image.
The Post-Image as a Flash var solves the problem of having multiple players with different Post-Images on the same page. Thank you for your patience in waiting for this improvement.

When I try to download v3.1 I get a 403 Forbidden error, “You don’t have permission to access /Downloads/osflv_player_v3_updated.zip on this server.”

I am trying to add a post image and it simply does not display.
I tried with abs path and relative.
I need a way to leave the first frame as the default and not a black screen.
Please advise.
I tried posting this in the forum but the “add new” only takes me to the home page.

Thanks.
Overall a good project. But the thumbnail not working is pretty crucial when dealing with video.

I can’t get the post image flash var to work.. the previous way to put a post image still seems to work fine.

Hello Admin, actually Jon is right. I suppose you included into the v3.1 the previous version of player.swf - thanks in advance for quick upgrade of this beautiful player!
